Award Description

The Willow Creek Sportsman’s Club / Stanley Grove Memorial Scholarship for 2026 graduating Seniors in the McKean County area. This scholarship is aimed towards an individual who is passionate about outdoor and sportsman’s activities.

The Willow Creek Sportsman's Club / Stanley Grove Memorial Scholarship is offering a scholarship to a 2026 graduating senior in McKean County who demonstrates a passion for outdoors and related sportsman's activities. This scholarship was made possible through the generous support of the Willow Creek Sportsman’s Club and a dedicated member, Stephen Grove Jr., who initiated this initiative in honor of his late father, Stanley Grove. Stanley Grove Jr. was not only an avid outdoorsman but also a devoted enthusiast who shared a profound passion and respect for nature and the creatures that inhabit both the woods and waters. His love and respect for the outdoors was instilled in him from a young age by his father, Stanley Grove, who passed his passion down to his three sons and five grandchildren. His legacy and appreciation for nature continues to resonate within the outdoors community, ensuring that future generations will also cherish the outdoors.

The award will be granted based on the responses you provide to the various application questions. The review committee will thoroughly evaluate each submission and ultimately select and award one deserving senior of the class of 2026.

This scholarship is made possible by the partnership of the Willow Creek Sportsman’s Club and Stephen Grove committed to awarding one senior with a $1,000 scholarship.

High School Senior in the McKean County area graduating in 2026
Interest in sportsman’s activities and/or the natural environment or conservation efforts

Academic excellence with a 3.0 average or higher
