Youth Trout Day

The Willow Creek Sportsman's Club Youth Trout Fishing Contest is held each year in conjunction with Pennsylvania's Mentored Youth Trout Day, providing young anglers with an unforgettable day on the water while introducing them to the lifelong enjoyment of fishing and conservation.

Through the generous support of local sponsors and the club's dedicated fundraising efforts, the Willow Creek Sportsman's Club stocks the stream surrounding the clubhouse with hundreds of trout, including numerous trophy-sized trout to create an exciting fishing experience for every participant. Among these fish are several tagged trophy trout, and any youth lucky enough to reel one in will receive a special prize for their outstanding catch.

Following a morning of fishing, participants and their families are invited back to the clubhouse to enjoy snacks and refreshments while sharing stories, celebrating successful catches, and making lasting memories together.

More than just a fishing event, the Youth Trout Fishing Contest has become our largest event and is dedicated to encouraging the next generation of anglers, promoting responsible stewardship of our natural resources, and creating a fun, family-friendly atmosphere where a passion for the outdoors can grow for years to come.
